We had breakfast at CRT last year w/my princess obsessed daughter and it was, I really think, the highlight of the trip - not the food, but the whole experience as viewed thru her eyes. I practically cried just watching how magical it was for her and how great the princesses were with my kids.

Fast forward to this year. 2 girlfriends and I are running the Princess Half Marathon next month. I thought it would be fun/funny to eat in the castle after we run. Neither one of them have been to WDW since they were little (in the early 70s)
We have ADRs for dinner, but now I'm worried that going there with only adults will be a bust.

What will dinner there with adults only be like? Is character interaction still good? How do the princesses interact with adults? I'm not concerned about the food itself, b/c we are all foodies who live in big cities where we have our choice of cuisines. We eat out alot in our daily lives so we are looking for Disney magic in our meal rather than excellent food.

Thanks for any opinions.

I haven't been to WDW with all adults (though I am looking forward to going with just DH for our anniversary).

But I know whenever we have been at character meals, there have been some tables of all adults. And the characters seem to give them as much attention as they give tables with kids. I think as long as your party is fun, and you all go into it with a playful attitude, I think it would be fine. Now, if my travel companions were not the type to want to "play along" and would get irritated by the princesses, then I would probably pick a more adult restaurant.

It actually sound like fun to me!

I think it sounds like a great time! I'm actually going on my first adult only trip next month. My two sisters (my oldest sis has never been to WDW) and I will be spending a week at WDW and we opted for 1900 Park Fare because we think my oldest sister will have a hoot with the stepsisters. As the PP said, I've seen great interaction going on with adults at other tables when dining with my family in the past.

Go for it and have fun!

I've done an adults only dinner at CRT and it was a lot of fun. The princesses all came to the table and treated just like every other table. They will pose for pictures with you if you want. You're at Disney, so don't feel self conscious about going to any character meals with all adults!

We ate at CRT on our honeymoon and it was perfect. The character/princess interaction was one of the best. Enjoy :)

I did both CRT as a group of 6 young adults, and 'Ohana as a couple - we're all in our young 20s - and we had just as much, if not more interaction! At first I was nervous that I was going to be made to feel like I was too old for such things but it was the complete opposite!

Both times were just a blast. The princesses and other characters did not act as if we were unimportant, and still did lots of fun things with us and talked to us a bunch. At 'Ohana they kept coming back to our table over and over!

I suggest you go for it! I'm planning to do a CRT dinner on my 25th birthday next June!

Thanks for the replies! I just wanted to make sure that adults had a positive experience there, and you've set me mind at ease.
My friends have adopted a good attitude about eating in the castle. One of them said she hoped there would be "Chip n Dale" dancers as entertainment. :woohoo: I think we'll have a silly good time.

I take lots of girls trips to Disney, and in November we had dinner at CRT- it was great! The princesses talked to each of us & posed for pictures. We got magic wands & all!
