CRT dinner booked with gift cards

DS booked a reservation for us for dinner at CRT. Since he won't be there to sign for the credit card, he got Disney gift cards to cover it. He told me everything was covered with the gift cards including the tip.

I'm not really sure how this will work as I don't know the amount on either gift card. He gave me both of the gift cards in case I need them.

I didn't really want to ask him the amount on the gift cards, but have a feeling that I need to know. I was under the impression that nothing was charged until you checked in.

CRT is one of only a few that actually do charge at the time of booking.

He won't have to sign the cc slip because his card will be charged as soon as me makes the ADR either over the phone or on the website.

I made reservations at CRT with my credit card and then later ended up adding the Disney dining plan to my trip. If I wanted to use the dining credits (I know its 2 per person), would they be able to credit my card back and use the credits or am I out of luck?

If you decide to secure it with credits instead of a cc, just call. They will secure it with the dining plan credits though, and they will already be deducted from your total amount of credits before you even arrive.
