CRT Call -- Quite surprising!

Today was the day I had both dreaded and anticipated: my day to call for Cinderella's Table reservations. At 6:57 my husband started calling on the house phone while I called on the cell phone. The phones were answered promptly at 7:00, and WE BOTH GOT THROUGH RIGHT AWAY. The receptionist who answered my call asked, "Do you want early or late?" Shocked, I said I'd take anything available. She laughed and said, "Right now it's wide open -- it's your choice." My choice -- her words exactly.

Is everyone else as surprised as I was? Perhaps this is a sign that attendance really is down at Disney.

FYI: We are not reservations-hogs, so we only booked one time slot.

I called today as well!! They answered so fast that I didn't realize it and the CM was talking and then I thought "Oh, my, I'm supposed to interrupt her!!" LOL. I asked her for as late as possible and she gave me a couple of times. I was astonished and extremely happy.

We picked 10:20 a.m. which is perfect because we can get some rides in during EMH. I can't wait to have the cream cheese stuffed french toast.

Maybe we'll see you there!!.

I called for some ressies for coral reef and sci fi for our (early) May trip and was told that basically all times were avaiilable. I hope this means the crowds will be manageable!

Have hope...we called on a Sunday and got through right away. I think people don't like to get up as early on a Sunday and it is slightly easier to get through

OK, this is completely off topic (sorta), but I just wanted to type a quick note to ZachnElli...

I LOVE your username... My DS is Zach and DD is Ellie! (another DD is Abby, but she is not in your name, lol)

On the original topic, I am trying for July and am waiting for May 8th, 9th and 10th (those are my three open days for it). I hope I get in as quickly as you!

Which is better... if you have a choice, EARLY or LATE for character interaction? I'm thinking late... less people?

I had my husband calling on his cell phone, me on the regular phone, my FIL was calling from his house, and my aunt from her house. Out of the four, three of us got through. I was so surprised. My husband had the nerve to say "I thought you said it was a hard PS to get". I had even checked the time on my computer clock against the atomic clock. We started calling at 6:58 and I promise they answered at 6:59. I got the recording saying they were closed twice, called back the third time, and then bam got the recording it was open, pressed 1, and instantly got the CM.

So, we're going Sunday, June 1st at 8:30. BTW, the CM also said the same thing - early, middle of the morning, or later.

Zakatak, that's so funny! Of course those are my kid's names too! Zach and Elli!

Well, I'm excited now that I might actually get ressies and even get to pick a time! We are going on a EMH morning and wanted to take advantage of it, so we wanted a late PS at CRT. Plus, daylight savings is the night before I call, so I hope some people (not me!) forget to set their clocks forward and sleep an hour too late! LOL!

ZachnElli - just want to pass on some good luck for Sunday.....
After trying for three days in a row last year, our last try was on a Sunday, but it just happened to be the Sunday which changed to daylight savings time (which is same for you) I got right through on one phone - I think because it was a Sunday and people forgot to set their clocks forward! Good Luck!

I wonder if we are seeing the credit card deposit thing taking effect on the population. Some people make PS on a whim and don't think about cancelling if they decide not to go, hoarding ressies, etc. This has been going on now for about 8-9 months now so maybe word has gotten out to a majority of the travellers and only the ones willing to make that deposit are the ones calling. DOnt know for sure, just speculating.

We are going to WDW in early May. I called at 6:59 a.m. (back in March) to get a Cindy's reservation - of course I am put on hold. I wait for 25 minutes and finally get a CM. I ask for Cindy's on the date I want (figuring NO WAY). The CM says, "This is weird, I actually have something available at 8:10 a.m. Needless to say, I took it. I could not believe my luck!

Well, dh and I both got in! Dh got in at 6:59 and I got in at 7:02. I couldn't believe they still had times left when they answered for me at 7:02. We got a 9:15 on an EMH morning. So we'll have an hour to try to ride some rides! I can't believe 60 days from today I'll be eating with Cindy! My dd will be thrilled!

I have to call next week, I have 10 days I can try to get into eat but of course there are days I would prefer more
We will see how it goes.

My ideal date would be June 15th. I really hope we get in that day, but if we don't as long as we get in anyday during our stay I will be happy!

I called back in February for a late April. I tried all week and didn't get through. But on Sunday I did! CM told me Sunday was the best time to get through. I guess peopled don't like to get up on Sundays. But it is still kinda weird how wide open they are. I've been calling for all sorts of PSs for the last of April/first of May and have been given everything I want with whatever time I want, except Chef Mickeys (I got 7:30 but wanted earlier). But everything else is just you name the time. Wonder what this says about attendance. With POFQ closing and so many vacancies at other resorts, I just wonder.
