CRT booked - question now

We have a CRT lunch booked this December. If we are able to change the date (to something that works better) does anyone know if I have to rebook on the credit card and wait several weeks for the initial booking's refund OR if they can just apply the already paid booking to the new booking.

pretty sure the old res is cancelled and the new one has to be paid again

They should not charge your credit card until you eat there. They require the CC# to hold your ressies and they will charge it if you don't show up for your ADR. So if you cancel, your CC will not be charged.

You do pay IN FULL in advance for CRT. We had to pay for our new reservation, and then cancel the old reservation. We received our credit back within a day or two. (We used our debit card, so maybe that shows up quicker than an actual credit card)! HTH!

As you already know, you pay again and get the refund. I know that when we went for my Birthday in March, DH originally made CRT for dinner and I made him change it for breakfast. It was all on the same credit card statement.
