I just scored a CRT ADR for breakfast on 9/23 :cool1: We'll be celebrating my dd's 3rd birthday...we were going to eat lunch at CP, but when I saw CRT pop up, I knew I couldn't pass it up!!! I had to pay $49.66 for me  (dd won't be actually turning 3 until 9/26, so she's free :thumbsup2) and I read that on allears.net that tip is included? Is that true? Also, I really didn't want to pay by credit card, but had to since it was my only choice. Could I get it refunded back on to my card and pay by gift card when we are there?

Yep, everything is included at CRT. Food, picture, and tip.

Enjoy :)

I don't think they actually charge your credit card---unless of course you do not show up. We had to give a credit card for the Luau but paid for it when we arrived.

I didn't think they actually charged it either, but my e-mail reads Total Cost: $49.66 (Paid on September 15, 2011) :confused3

The last time we went, they charged my credit card almost immediately. The charge was on my statement. Then months passed before we were actually there. At the end of the meal, we were presented with a check by our waiter and DH was about to pay it, when I realized that it was already paid for months before. We asked them to please check again and sure enough, when he came back he said yes, it was all paid for. But we almost wound up paying twice.

I'm not sure how easy it would be to have them credit your card and pay with a gift card while you are there. I have heard stories where people who cancelled waited a long time to see their refund. If you give them the gift card, you'll be out that and then if something goes wrong with the refund to your credit card, you'll have a big mess to try and clear up. I think at this point, I would just leave it and use the gift card toward something else.

Yes, your CC was charged almost immedately for CRT. Honestly, I would just leave it alone and use your gift card for another meal. It will take about 10 business days minimum to get your refund, and you chance an error changing payment at the resturant. We changed our ressie because we added DDP to our package. It was doable, but not easy for the impatient.

Yes, tip is included, and photo was also included in ours.

Enjoy!

If you are on a dining plan AND if the system "sees" it correctly (and that can be a pretty big if), then it's just a guarantee (and your card will be charged in full if you don't show up, or you cancel after the deadline). If you are not on a dining plan, then it is a prepay experience where your card will be charged the full amount at the time of booking.

The same is true for the 3 dinner shows as well (HDDR, Spirit of Aloha, and Mickey's Backyard BBQ).

Akershus and California Grill are both CC guarantees only, and your card is only charged if you don't show up or you cancel after the deadline. These charges are nominal fees (~$10 per person I think).
