CRT and Online ADR's

When booking CRT online............how do you pay with a credit card? when you select it along with your other dining reservations does it ask for a card to hold the reservation at the end (i.e. checkout)?

Yes, towards the bottom of the page, when you're ready to check out, it'll ask for a CC #. If you're doing the DDP, log in and retrieve your resort reservations first otherwise your CC will be charged the amount of the meal instead of using it for a "hold"

I didn't know that. Is it the same way for Akershus?

I'm not sure if Akershus has a mandatory CC hold for ressies. If they do, I would guess it would be the same.

I learned by mistake that the CC was charged if you don't retrieve your resort ressie first.

Yes, they require a CC hold. Oh crap, and I've already booked it.

I had to call up Disney, make a new reservation and cancel the old one to get my money back. The confirmation from online dining should tell you for sure if you're CC was actually charged or if it's a hold.

You mean you were charged before you even ate there? Well, I haven't been charged, so I guess that's a good sign!

Yup, my CC was charged as soon as I typed it in! I was so excited to get a CRT ressie I didn't even think about linking it to my resort ressie. Until the confirmation page said my card was charged $200+
