Okay I know this might sound a little strange but I am getting close to "trying" to make an ADR for CRT. My question is when you give the the credit card info do they require the "sucurity code" on the back? I am asking becuase I was going to use my DH CC but I had cut up the card so I have the account number and I know the experation but I do not have the actual card.
Also we will be on DDP so will they charge the meals than anyway? or will we have the option of using the CC or DDP when we are there? I will probably do CRT OOP but if I do not decide on 2 more ressie I figure why not just use them on that.

Thanks bunches!!

them asking for the security code. I would probably remember because the code is worn away from overuse.

They are not supposed to charge your cc ahead of time if you are using the DDP but mistakes happen during entry. They will take the cc number as a means of ensuring use of the ADR.

Cutting up credit cards. Do you listen to Dave Ramsey?

By the way, I don't think it's a big issue if you change your mind. A rather large party nex to us didn't have enough credits left to cover their meal so they took the remaining credits and then charged the remaining amount.

LoL I actually do but I had cut up the credit card before I started listening.

B I mainly cut it up because my husband is bad with CC. When the new card came in I shredded it. Then when his old card expired we shredded that one too. We are leaving the account open since it is a card he has had for several years. Plus leaving it open with a zero balance helps his balances to available credit ratio. In the future if we want to use it again we can always call them up and get a replacement card.

BTW I am calling in the morning so wish me luck. I am hoping that since I am staying on property and making the ADR before the 180 mark I will be able to get in.

to wish you luck but I hope you had it. We have only eaten lunch and considered dinner one time and never had issues with ADRs - though next time we'll be trying for a slightly earlier lunch time in hopes of getting a window seat.. I understand breakfast is a more difficult meal to get.

I listen to DR from time to time but still carry ccs. The stories I hear make me grateful for what I have and keep me grounded.

I got it. I actually pretty much got my choice of times but I am glad I called now since we are a party of 8 we had to get 2 tables of 4. Last year I tried to get ADRs about a month before we went (it was our first trip) and the only thing they had available was 9 something at night and that was just to late for the little ones. I am glad I got it but I am kind of looking at it as a one time thing for the girls to eat in the castle.

Yeah I don't see me ever giving up all credit cards but I just want to make sure I keep all my spending/ money under control. I am like you though, sometimes I listen to DR and am all like are these people serious? I love one I heard where a lady & her husband made $250,000 a year and was $100,000 in debt NOT including their house. Now how the heck does that happen?

on getting the time you wanted. If the time is early in the meal cycle, the two table issue should be no problem. We had two tables seated next to us this summer that were together. There was probably two feet between the tables - just enought for people to slide through.
