Crown_Princess and Angrypenguin DFTW 03/30/2009-7/24 Update, MGM studios!

For some reason the first two pics aren't working for me...?
Only the rose chain pic, and they look so real, you must have gotten very good quality silks...

I wish I could see the pomander...:guilty:

Never mind...:sad2:
Now that I posted the above comments.... the pictures pop up beautifully. OH WELL...

I'm happy to see them and the pomander is GREAT!

Your pompador came out fantastic! Great job! :thumbsup2

I can't believe how close you are!!! 28 more days!!!! :dance3:

your pomander turned out great! I hear you about the guest count. I'm also inviting 50 but I think about 30 will come. Oh well, their loss. How about I come in their place :rotfl2:

Thanks, everyone!
I'm very happy with the way they turned out. Hopefully I can get everything there safely, being that we are flying and not driving.
I think MOH is going to flip when she sees the pomander. :cutie:

I'm picking up my ring tonight! WOOHOO!
:)

Hey everyone! Crown_princess is passed out this late hour, but I thought I'd share some engagement pics. Here are a few (okay, more than a few :)), and more can be found at the album links at the end of the post.

your e-pics are beautiful!

I am just catching up on your PJ! I can't believe i took me this long to find it! Everything looks amazing, I think you are very well prepared for the big day! I will be in WDW on your wedding so maybe I will see a super happy newly married couple strolling around and say to myself "hey they look so happy, must be a disbride and groom!"
Your pomander looks great, I may have to "borrow" that idea!
And I am absolutly in love with your E-Pics! I was going back and forth over having e-pics of us at the boardwalk, but after seeing yours I am positive I would love to have pics like that! You both look so happy and glamorous! :goodvibes

Yup!

On other news...
our guest count is down from the planned 50 to 30, including me and DF. We're okay with it, but it is a little disappointing to spend so much on a wedding for so few people. At the end of the day I'm sure we'll be glad we did, because it will be so memorable.

Definitely don't feel let down about the guest count. In the end, you're having the wedding of your dreams and as long as DF is there that's all that matters :lovestruc

:flower3: I love all your DIY projects; you really did a great job with them. Plus, its always a great feeling to be able to save some $!

Thanks! You must do pics at the boardwalk! It feels fabulous and fun and your pictures will look like you stepped back in time to some smaller, cuter place. :cloud9: I live in Los Angeles, so there are places around here with the beach feel, but nothing so clean and polished - that is a myth here.

Thanks, Venessa. I am really happy how they turned out. I can't believe I am leaving in 20 days!!

I love your mickey pomadors!! You did a great job!

So close now!!

Everything looks soo great! I love DIY projects! I know I always feel so great after they are done.

Don't worry about your guest count dwindling! Ours is too but I am having it webcasted so everyone who can't be there in person to share our day with us will be there via PC. I think that we originally started out with about 55 guests and we are down to 30 as well. But as long as the Bride and Groom are happy that's all that matters!

Your big day is coming up really soon! I'm soo excited for you! I just feel like time is flying by!

It's good to hear I'm not alone. I feel kind of guilty that I didn't plan for it. All the wedding books I have read said to count on 30% of people dropping out for a destination wedding. :scared1: I think I was in denial. I should have invited more people! Poor DF's family had told some friends about the wedding and sort of informally invited them (this was last summer) and I said that we could only invite as many people as we had seats for. I feel so embarrassed now. :rolleyes1

The webcasting is a GREAT idea. I hadn't thought of that. :lmao: My last thought before bed was that I should do something similar! Great idea!

On other news:

- my dress final fitting is next weekend, MOH is coming from San. Fran., CA to learn how to do my fabulous bustle. She's so sweet
- my work friends decided to thru me a b.party next Thursday night. I'll try to remember to take pics
- I'm a little concerned about my dress: I'm paying $450 for alterations and had my second fitting. The dress fit like a dream, except the bottom hem is not straight in front.:headache: The seamstress said that the diagonal bodice caused the hem to do that, and that she would either have to cut off more fabric :scared1: or take out the seam from the bodice. I don't want her to make it any shorter, since it already isn't as long as I want. And I dont' want her to take it from the seam, because what if I pull on it and it rips. :scared: SO I ended up telling her not to do anything with it. Ugh.

It's probably pointless for me to try to console you about this, women preparing for their wedding day can be quite "particular." You want everything to be perfect and just right, we all do. But try not to stress out about what you think might be an imperfection in your dress. I remember your pictures, without a fitting your dress was STUNNING, all eyes will be on you and your DH, there won't be a single person there that will think your dress is not straight in the front, particularly if you have an asymetrical bodice, it sounds like it is meant to be that way. If it isn't, people will just assume it does.

Your wedding day is a glorious day where you marry someone you love. It is a party to celebrate your union. It only lasts one, very quick, day. There is just no time to waste on an alleged crooked hem.

I swear to you, no one will notice. (Does that help;) )

Wow! You must be a great mom! That was incredibly reassuring and understanding all at the same time. :goodvibes Thank you. I'm glad I chose not to have her do any more work on it.

You are soooo close now! I am getting excited for you!

It's been fun reading your PJ and TR. I hope my TR is as fun as yours.

pomanders look great!! :goodvibes
You did a good job!

Thanks! I gave you credit for the inspiration! I really did spend significant time admiring your floral. :rolleyes1

The rings are beautiful!!!! What does it say on his? The programs are gorgous! Love the font and colors.

It says "shing fu" which is Mandarin Chinese for an abundantly happy life.:goodvibes
DF is American-born Chinese. I don't speak Chinese, so hopefully I didn't butcher that. ;)
