We did priceline bidding and got the crown plaza for $60 a night.
The hotel has a $12 resort fee. They do have a free shuttle to Disneyland. It's rated as a 3.5* and we thought it was very nice place.
Staff was amazing. Always had a smile on their face. Very nice and helpful.
The hotel is very well kept. Everything was nice and clean. Rooms were big. We had a standard 2 queen room. It had a small desk and club chair with side table.
It did have an in room minbar thing but it was empty so we used it as a fridge
Bathroom was roomy but simple.
The only thing that we noticed was a room had placed a bucket from a Champaign bottle and it stayed in the hallway for a whole day. But other them that it was really clean and great for us.
Shuttle was nice. Drivers were funny and nice. But it did park all the way at the end of bus area.

Restaurant had great happy hour price. We didn't get a chance to eat there but the prices and food looked good.

Parking lot was a pain. but nothing like the Hilton. It was really full because there was 3 big conventions while we were staying there.

Feel free to ask if anyone has any questions.

Thanks for the review, Nikki.

How long was the shuttle ride? And how often did the shuttles run?

Shuttle ride was about 10 min. It was just for our hotel. It picked up from Disneyland 20 and 50 past the hour. And they were always on the dot.

Great review!

In the last 5 years we have been to Disneyland 4 times and I have used priceline each time. This last time we got "stuck" since there was a big pharmacutical convention at the same time at the Holiday Inn (which was really not half bad).

2 times in the last few years we have gotten the Crown Plaza. I will agree that the Crown Plaza was great. We were worried to be sooooo far away from Disneyland since so many of the other hotels are closer but really the shuttle helped a great deal.

Another thing we really likes were the businesses that were close to the hotel. Target was right across the street and was nice to be able to walk over and pick up a few items to take with us to the park. Also when we stayed there we ate at all 3 of the restaurants in the "parking lot" of the hotel. Red Robin, Outback, and a cool seafood place. (can't remember the name) I know that chain resturants are nothing to write home about but after a long day it was nice to have some choices so close to "home".

Just curious what perimeters you used for your Priceline bid - Disneyland/Anaheim or also Disneyland/Orange County? What hotel level - 4 star, 3-1/2 star, etc. Did you get it on the first bid or get a second chance bid? Thanks!

Disney area 3* $55 first bid didn't get accepted so I did $60 and added Disney/orange and got it.

I have been able to do the same thing for $40. So it just depends.

That's Joe's Crab Shack. We were just at the Crowne Plaza in March. Pretty nice place, but it is much farther then most of the hotels in the area. The self parking is impossible, so we valet parked every night.

My kids and I stayed there twice in early 2009 *got it via PL both times for a great price :thumbsup2

We enjoyed our stays and would stay there again but certainly prefer to be within walking distance.

I am looking for a cool seafood restaurant...any clues as to how I can search for this restaurant. Was it next to anything specific?

We have some Joes Crab Shacks here is Missouri...I just don't think they are really that good. It is fun though I have to admit! Anyone tried the place at Garden Walk, can't remember the name at the moment?

You are thinking of Bubba Gump Shrimp. I have not been there but we might be going there or Crab Shack on Thursday. It just depends on how I and ds7 feel after the drive.

Did the $12 include the parking fee?
