Hi, am a newbie here. I am planning a trip to DL for 11/4 to 11/8/06 and was wondering if anyone had any opinions on the Crown Plaza on Harbor Blvd or Embassy Suites South on Harbor Blvd. I've only stayed at the PP onsite and would like something compairable except less expensive. Any suggestions or advice would be most appreciated. Thank you

I know where both those hotels are because I stayed at the Hyatt Regency which is right by both of them. Check out Hyatt Regency...when I went, they had good rates and the most comfortable new beds in the new tower.

One more thing...the Hyatt Regency bus stops at the Crowne Plaza, but the first stop is Hyatt so on a crowded day, you don't have to worry about getting a seat. I think the Embassy Suites uses the $3/day trolley. The bus is free.

Thank you for your response! Are referring to The Hyatt Regency Orange on Harbor Blvd? If so, this looks like a beautiful hotel. This is definately on my list now. The only thing I am worried about is the rate is kind of high. I will check with my AAA TA. Any other suggestions or opinions?

We are breaking away from the GC for the first time since it opened and going with the Embassy Suites. I called them directly and yes they do use the trolly. We always rent a car also and have APs so we can drive if we want also. I just couldn't bring myself to pay $350/night and that was with an AP discount. Disney has outpriced themselves.

Yes, it is the Hyatt Regency Orange County. There's a laundermat across the street, restaurants, and even a Target so you can get cheap drinks and snacks. Go into the Hyatt website...they may have special rates...November is the off season so you have some time.

Hi. We just stayed at Embassy for a week and loved it. The shuttle service is WONDERFUL - can't beat it! Having free cooked-to-order breakfast every day was really, really nice, too and gave us all energy to enjoy DL. The days we didn't go to DL, we took advantage of the evening happy hour (the girls loved the pizza and slushes!). We'd stay there again.... :)
