My family and I are going to Disney the 3rd week in March. It is not our spring break, we are taking advantage of a week of half days at school and also got a great flight & hotel package deal (at POFQ). So, I booked impulsively AND THEN started reading about crowds at that time of year, mostly for college spring break (which I was kind of surprised to find that college spring breakers are going to Disney??). I am in a mild panic over what we will face when we get there. I have been to Disney 4 times before, always at low crowd times and still found it crowded and waited in plenty of lines. This will be my daughter's 1st time going (my son's 3rd time) and I really hate to spend much of our time in lines but at this point, it is what it is.

However, it's in my nature to worry and I'm wondering if it really will be that bad? We've had no problems making any reservations so far (even got a princess breakfast at a great time at Askerhaus yesterday) and the hotel rate was so cheap...Easter is so late this year that I, perhaps stupidly, assumed that late March would not be as busy as late April. I checked the crowd calendar at touringplans.com and the whole time we will be there, the crowd level prediction is 8 or 9 out of 10. But why has it then been so easy to get good reservations and such a good price on flight/hotel?

Thoughts on this? Please be honest, I'd rather know what we might be facing...

Hi :thumbsup2 And Welcome to the DISboards :cool1::cool1::cool1:
Mid Feb thru early April is Spring Break. It probably will be crowded but that hasn't stopped my family from still having fun. Try to be at the parks at rope drop, relax at your resorts pool mid-day and return at night.Use and collect Fass Passes, and try to make any ADR's you can before your trip. Relax and have a great trip.:yay:

We live in the Southeast and our spring break is always the thrid week of March, as are many other schools in the south and southeast. It will be busy. It won't be crazy like Easter week or Christmas week, but there will be A LOT of people there. You just have to get to the parks early and start collecting Fastpasses to use later in the day when the crowds start flooding in. It's not a highly publicized fact, but Fastpasses do not expire untile the end of the day. You can not ever use them early, but you can use them late, up until park closing that day. It's the best strategy you can use when the parks are crowded.
