Crowds this week?

We arrive on Wednesday and I just checked to see what other resorts were available because I am not thrilled about staying at sports but it was I knew I could afford at the time of booking. There are no rooms available for our date. Is this common? Is it going to be crazy busy? We are early morning people and have never had a problem but I am worried I should panic.

I would love to know the crowd levels this week:dogdance: my last visit was March 2016. Our next visit will be March 1 2018:magnify: this is longest time that we not gone in 15 years. My goal is to wait for some new attractions.:hyper2::teacher: Have a great trip.

No need to panic. We will be arriving in a few days too. Crowds won't be holiday/peak season high just yet; but I do expect crowds to be moderate and for it to be busy just because there are no slow times at Disney anymore. There is always some type of event, holiday, or season that keeps the crowd levels constant. Disney's goal is to keep their resorts booked at capacity so it doesn't surprise me that there isn't availability. Many people (including my family) took advantage of that play, stay, and dine promo that covered winter dates through early March; and there were other room discounts available. There is also a cheer/dance competition going on at WWOS this upcoming week which may explain why the All Star resorts are booked up. I think you will like AS Sports and will have fun. It's Disney :sunny:! Have a magical trip!

I am going today I should be sleeping as I have to wake up in 1 hour and 45 minutes and then drive to Disney . I will be staying at spots too and I hope it is not crowded at too

Lots of stuff going on this week.
1. Contest of Champions National Championship dance event at ESPNWWOS March 3rd-5th
2. Festival Disney youth performance event at some parks and DS, March 4th & 5th
3. Flower & Garden Festival at Epcot begins March 1st
4. Large DVC event at MK, March 4th

We arrive this Wednesday, too- personally, I'm not that concerned about crowds. We chose this week very carefully, seeking a balance of relatively moderate crowds (knowing that WDW is pretty much always "busy" to some extent), and almost as importantly, good weather (my family's tolerance for extreme heat and humidity is very low, but we also wanted to avoid any major January/Feb cold snaps). So far, the weather forecast is looking fantastic :earsboy:.

Have fun!

Should not be too bad last week was when all the schools were off (at least where I am from). Probably some crowds for the beginning of the flower and garden festival though.

We are leaving today, having been here since the 24th. Crowds seemed ridiculous! I was here 3 years ago for the exact same dates with low crowds, not sure why things were so different. At one point yesterday there was a 150 minute wait for SDMT! I even saw a 75 minute wait for IASW and 60 minute wait for ToT. I'll secondly rethink coming those time of year in the future if this is the crowd trend.
