crowds the first week of May 2007

This will be our first trip taking our kids, what are the crowds like the first week in May? We usually go last September...

Crowds are pretty light the first week of May (although not as light as September, which is generally regarded as the least busy month at WDW).

I'll be watching this thread b/c we leave in 58 days and I am sooooo hoping that it will not be crowded. We have always gone in June!

We'll be there April 28-May 5 and are hoping for fairly light crowds. We usually go for Thanksgiving or in the summer, but we did go in May a few years ago and crowds were light. The weather was also nice-warmer than here in PA, but not sweltering. I'm just hoping we miss the love bug invasion that I've heard about .

Wow we are going the same time.. we are leaving 4/29 and coming back 5/7 we are leaving from pittsburgh.... sounds like we are doing alot of the same stuff... where are you staying

We have gone during this week twice (03 and 06) and found the crowds to be very light (for spring/summer). However, we just found out Mickey's BBQ is full on 5/3/07 and this is making me nervous! It was half empty last year!

We are going to WL 4/26-5/3 (also from Pittsburgh)i. There seems to be quite a lot of people from this board going around this time. Hope it will not be too crowded. We have gone four times in May and the crowds were managable but it was VERY HOT and HUMID sort of like western PA in July. Let's pray for GREAT WEATHER and a magical time!! Maybe we will all be blessed with some "dreams".

Hi, another Pittsburgher here, we are going from 4/26 to 5/7. We always go during this timeframe, weather is usually beeeautiful, and the crowds not bad at all. Now of course when DH and I went in September of last year, it was much less crowded, however, the heat to me, was unbearable.

We love going this time of year. Perfect weather and crowds.

As far as the lovebugs go? We don't usually see them at the beginning of May but we sure did in the 2nd week of September. Not to worry, they don't bite or anything, they're just annoying. Do a search on the threads, to find out more about those lovely little critters.

Our family's first Disney trip is scheduled for May 2 - 10th. We will be staying at Windsor Hills in a townhouse.

For those who have been in early May before....do you think it will be warm enough then that I won't need to pay to heat our pool??
