Crowds the day BEFORE Thanksgiving?

Any thoughts on what it would be like? Pre-blackout period kind of worries me - but I have friends coming down from up north that can either go the whole day that day or just in the evening the Tuesday after Thanksgiving.

Part of me thinks all the APs will be getting ready for the holiday - but I'm pretty sure that Tuesday will be pretty light so I'm not sure which way to advise them.

We have been going over Thanksgiving for awhile now over the break. The day before is usually more packed than Thanksgiving itself, but still not horrible. Alot of people want to be with Family over the week, so the park (in the past) hasn't been that crowded and much better than summer time. I do think the Tuesday AFTER Thanksgiving would be even more less crowded but wither day I think should be fine.

We've gone the day before Thanksgiving for the past umpteen years and it is busy, but not crazy. If I had to choose between all day with moderate crowds or only the evening without them, I'd definitely go with the crowds. Just get your fastpasses and you'll be set.

As far as Saturday and Sunday - this year I looked at a crowd predictor chart and the Sunday before Thanksgiving is forecasted to be very low crowds (not Saturday, though). I don't put much stock into these things - I don't ever decide which days to go based on them - but this year we have to go Sunday instead of Wednesday and I was curious.

We've gone the week before Thanksgiving in the past and the crowds were quite manageable. However, I'm a little worried about all of the SoCal schools that are off the entire week this year. Once again, plan your day and get your fastpasses. :upsidedow

That is the day we are scheduled to go, we are with the National American Miss pageant and all the girls in the pageant age 4-7 from all states will be in the park that day, Sunday the 21st. Each day that week a different age group goes to the park, so a few extra hundred girls and their familys each day the week of Thanksgiving....not sure if it will make a difference to you or not but at least you know ahead of time :)

Well now I have much better info - but still not sure what to tell my friends! I checked and a lot of Orange County schools do either have the whole week or at least Wednesday - wondering if it's one of those choices where you'll get more done in a few hours Tuesday than the whole day Wednesday.

If they're not the get-there-at-rope-drop types (not sure ) then Tuesday may be better for them. decisions, decisions...

Thanks for the information :) Looking forward to seeing all those extra princesses.
