I know there will be crowds, but if we go the Sat-Wed of thanksgiving week, will it be unbearable? We went in March 2007,our spring break... how would it compare? TIA!!

It would probably compare to a Spring break. It seems like more and more schools take that whole week off. It is probably better than going AFTER Thanksgiving. I only think it will be unbearable if you aren't prepared.

I knew that it wouldn't be really low crowds. We have to go during school breaks, so low crowds are a thing of the past for us! When the kids were small, we could take them out of school (and we did), butnow we have 2 girls in college, and our youngest son in a freshman in HS, it makes it impossible to let them miss and not be far behind in their classes. I am already planning on going during the off times after the kids are out on their own LOL!!!!

Based on the hours they'll be open and the fact that the parade and fireworks are starting up on the 21st. (Friday) I think you can assume it'll be crowded. Get there early, grab as many FP as you can, cross over to DCA (grab mroe FP) ride rides, etc., then cross back over to DL and use your FP.

Earlier in the week should be better than later, though.

DLR will be open from 8 to midnight all week and DCA will be open from 10-10 (except only until 9 on Th and Fri.)
