I've only stayed at Disney during the summer on non-holiday weeks. The parks always seem pretty packed in July and August. So I have two questions -

1) If I did a DVC vacation on Memorial Day, July 4th or Labor Day, would the parks seem extremely crowded where I would notice it?

2) Do the DVC resorts "sell out" (or waitlist) for these 3 summer holidays? About how far ahead would you need to book?

I am interested to know your experiences. Thank you.:thanks:

The parks are always quite crowded on holidays, sometimes wall-to-wall crowded. This, along with the heat/humidity, makes summer holiday trips very trying for a lot of people.

I try to go at other times, so I can't comment much more than that.

We have found Labor day to be fairly light crowds compared to the 'normal' summer crowds. This is based on only 1 trip druing Labor day, but I was pleasantly suprised to find the low crowds. I will not go July 4th again, it is very crowded. We haven't tried Memorial day. Good luck picking, and have a great trip.

We did the week of Memorial Day this year. The weekend was very crowded but the rest of the week wasn't bad at all. It is the very start of the rainy season so take that into account. We used Tour Guide Mike and were able to avoid the worst of the crowds.
