We are going to be at a couple of the parks during the day when there is a EMH scheduled for that night. Will the crowds be any heavier during the day? THANKS BEV WESTER

Bumping this up for you since there are no replies yet. I'm just guessing that the emh park would be more crowded. Does anyone know for sure? :flower:

There are several contributing factors....what time of year? What day of the week? Will there be a parade that night, (spectromagic) once or twice.
All of these things play in quite a bit.

Bumbing this up as well, since posts on this board seem to move quickly. I know the last poster was right it does depend on time of year, events, etc. However, it is always nice to hear personal experiences. Anyone? I posted a thread like this a little while ago and heard mixed reviews on EMH. It would be nice to hear more recent experiences. Thanks!!

Never been on EMH, but I understand that EMH mornings are awful, while the evenings are very bearable.

I will be doing EMH in June.

this is a question that can be answered as to when you are going to be there. with spring break coming up for a many areas of the country. out here in eastern long island new york our spring break is coming up on april25th-27th. it is a bit short due to used snow days but i am sure other schools have their break scheduled at similar times. still combining that with the saturday and sunday you stil have 5 days to squeeze in a WDW trip

this could impact how the crowds are going to be at EMH nights because we know that teens tend to sleep in later and stay up longer so crowds would be greater at night during spring break.

we are so looking foward to the EMH this july. we know it will be crowded but it will be significantly less at night. since i have the 2 teens who like to sleep in and a wife who sleeps like a teen the EMH will make life a lot easier for me.

From what I have heard, the morning EMH impact the rest of the day at that park much more so than the evening EMH.
If people get up early to go to that park for EMH they tend to stay there.
People who plan to go to EMH in the evening may go to another park first of just hit the parks a lot later.
Even though we stay on site we try NOT to go to a park if they have any EMH that day. (of course we don't have kids)

Just returned from our trip. We did the Magic Kingdom EMH evening - park was opened until midnight. At first, it seemed very busy. However, we noticed that it took about an hour for people to figure out that they needed a wristband to stay. They dropped out of the lines when they saw the CMs looking for bands on people's wrists. Wish they had a way to inform people at the regular closing time that they needed to leave. Also, CMs were still handing out wristbands during the EMH evening, which added to the crowd. We were told that we had to get our bands before the park closed.
People with very young children began to leave after the 1st hour when they realized that 3 and 4 year olds get a little tired and cranky that late at night no matter where they are! There was a lot of crying and fussing in some lines - we heard one man yell at his wife for being selfish and wanting to stay for herself, instead of thinking about their 2 kids in the stroller.
Anyway, we were able to get on 5 or 6 rides, including Spalsh Mountain, with little or no wait. :cool1:
