We are going to be at the park on 6/20 and I see the Goo Goo Dolls are going to be there for a concert. Does anyone have any experience at the park on a concert night? I'm wondering if the rest of the park is maybe a little light if a lot of people are there for the concert. Thanks!

It's a zoo on big performers. The concert is in Universal Studios in front of rip ride Rockit. So the park has many people in it regardless.

My experience has been that the front of the park (RRR, Minions, Transformers) are busier than usual with the big performers, but the rides further to the back (MIB, Simpsons, etc) are not very crowded at all, especially close to the concert time. We've been for 5 or 6 concerts in the past couple years, and have only had any lengthy waits at the three at the front, including on Memorial Day weekend this year.

We just got back and saw Pitbull. The park rides closed about the same time as the concert but the sheer volume was crazy. The rides towards the back are much lighter however the rides at the front are heavier. I got our spot about 4 hours before Pitbull came on and my husband and DS rode rides at the front of the park until maybe 1 hour before the concert. About 2 hours before they start they started setting up screens at different spots in the park since you couldn't get through the field or surrounding areas.

This was our experience, also. We were there on Saturday when PitBull was there and the front of the park was crowded (we were there to see the parade at 7 pm and it was close to the concert venue), but then we headed over to IOA by riding HE after the parade and it was not crowded at all. I was afraid the concert would make things prohibitively crowded, but on the contrary, it made the areas away from the concert quite pleasant.

We will be there this Saturday when Huey Lewis will be on - its DD 21st and we are having a meal at 5.20pm - by the time we are finished, the concert may have started?? so unsure whether or not to go. Last time we went to a concert here was 3 years ago and we saw 'Victorious' - it was mad then and Ariana Grande wasn't properly famous then - we did meet her though - in Portofino Bay's lift.
