I'm planning on flying into Orlando a few days before my husband and visiting Universal. I currently have a room booked at Portofino Bay for the 4th and was planning on taking advantage of Express.

Yesterday I decided to add three nights at Pop Century to the solo part of my trip and was thinking about canceling PBR in favor of something cheaper off-site to off-set the cost. Do you think Express is a must for early October?

I remember going with the kids right after Labor Day in 2008 and the parks were very slow but that was before WWOHP opened. I was thinking I could use Single Rider for Forbidden Journey and Rip Ride Rockit.

I think it varies. We always go that week, but we haven't been the last two years. I just looked at RPR is $219 plus taxes for that night which is much cheaper then PBH. We always stay onsite no matter what simply because you never know how crowds are going to be, and we love the simplicity of staying onsite. I do believe I saw that Doubletree across the street is offering a low rate during October.

No...Express is not a must for October and your plan of using the single rider lines is a good one. It won't take you long to most everything if you do that.

that tuesday and wednesday in the parks won't be bad crowd-wise.

i'll be there at that same time period and have been for the past years.

where ever you decide to stay, you'll have fun at universal.
