Crowds Now

Has anyone just come back from WDW? How are the crowds? We're leaving on Friday for WDW. Have you noticed any additional security measures? We went one month after 9/11 and they were searching everyone's carry-ins. They also carded us at every resort and were told to carry our IDs.

Hi!
We just returned from Disney World (returned on 3/24) and found that the crowds were not bad at all. We did see waits of 30 minutes for rides at Magic Kingdom on Sunday, but they were for rides that we had already done (and it was afternoon), so we really did not wait long for anything. Security does check all bags (we had a back pack and each had waist pouches), but that is all that we noticed security wise. The weather was absolutely wonderful except for one day when it reached 90 (and was very humid). I was glad that we had taken frozen water bottles in on that day! Hope that you have a great trip!

DS is there right now. Wish I was!!
He doesn't like crowds and has said it isn't too bad.
He hasn't waited for more than 10 minutes for any ride (or course he wouldn't ).
He's done just about everything in each park he's been to.
He attended MK's e-night last night, so saved those
rides for that.

I was there from 3/21-3/26. Did e night on Fri. and it was empty! Sunday it rained and MK was a ghost town! Didnt see crowds until Monday.MK on Monday was crazy. You couldnt do anything without fastpass unless you felt like waiting in long lines!
We did the extra magic hour at MGM on Tuesday and the wait for tower of terror was 75 minutes by 8:30 am.
We used fastpass for most rides. It was more crowded than I was used to dealing with but if you used fast pass, it wasnt too bad. Have a great time!

I aggree with allicat. Monday was terrible due to the rain on Sunday. But the rest of the week was not too bad for Spring Break time. At Epcot we got fastpass for TT and road from the single line while we waited for the fastpass time. The singles line is a great way to go if you dont mind breaking up your group.

We just got home today 3/30. We did MK on 3/28 and only had to wait or Fast Pass for the most popular rides - Buzz, Space, Splash, Thunder, etc....

MGM yesterday was not bad at all. Rockin Rollercoaster was down for awhile so that line backed up when it reopened.

The weather was gorgeous both days. Glad we left before it got COLD!
