This will be the weekend AFTER Thanksgiving. Specifically, what do you think crowds will be like Nov 30 (Friday night) for MVMCP.

I'm so excited, I"m about to burst. The kids have no idea!

Tend to be larger than other night's because many of the local folks will atttend those Party's.You should still be fine and have a magical time.:goodvibes :goodvibes Danny

My favorite time to go to Disney is the week after Thanksgiving. During the week there are times when we've gotten to stay on rides and ride them several times in a row because no one is in line. However, it does get busy on the weekend....I'm sure it's still not as crazy busy as other times of the year. I don't think we've ever waited more than 20 minutes for any ride.

As far as MVMCP, can you go during a weeknight? We went during a weeknight late November 2004 and it was awesome! However, last year (same time of year), it was very crowded (we were there on a Friday) and didn't seem to enjoy the evening as much as the time before.

We will be there next year at this time as well. I was hoping to do MVMCP on the 28th which is the Friday after Thanksgiving but going by THIS year's calendar it looks like they don't do the party on thanksgiving week is that correct? So do you think they will have one that Sunday the 30th? That will be our last park day as we will leave on Monday Dec 1. I sure hope so. We will arrive on the 20th and our first possible day in the parks will be Nov 22nd which is the prior Saturday but that is the start of Thanksgiving week and I know they don't do any that week.

We really want to go to MVMCP and that was one of the main reasons for going, that and the Osborne lights. We missed them by a week on our last trip. One of the reasons we moved our trip back to Thanksgiving week though was so that we could see the Christmas around the world but the only reason we don't move it back one MORE week is because my kids can't miss that much school.

I sure hope they do one on that Sunday. Our trip is already booked and we can't change it and I guess if we miss it we miss it but I sure hope they do one. Anyone know from past experience if they typically do one the Sunday AFTER thanksgiving week?

This is so crazy....we are going Nov 29th-Dec 2nd and it is a surprise for our kids too!!!!:cheer2: DH & I went alone at exactly the same time last year to celebrate our Anniversary and it was great! Crowds were mostly on the low side and MVMCP was a moderate crowd. You will have a wonderful time. Enjoy:goodvibes

Oh actually we are wanting to go Thanksgiving 2008 sorry. I was just wanting to know if they have the party on the Sunday night the weekend after thanksgiving. I read that they don't do any parties that whole week but it looks like this year they are having one the Sunday AFTER thanksgiving so I am hoping someone knows if they usually do one on the Sunday following because that is the only day we would be able to do it if that is the case.

As I said we had originally planned on going on the Friday after thanksgiving but by looking at THIS year's dates I noticed they don't have any parties during thanksgiving week. That is why I was asking if those that go all the time knew if they had it on the weekend.

Thanks in advance :)

I know that is ok. That is why I was asking cuz I am trying to plan way in advance because I know I need to buy the tickets in May and I like to plan VERY early LOL. I actually already have a basica itinerary set up of every day and we had planned to go to the pary on that Friday but then when I read they don't do them on that week it kind of messed up my days so that was why I was hoping someone who has gone a lot in the past would know if they do them traditionally on the Sunday following. I know they are doing it this year on the following Sunday and I am really counting on them doing that next year otherwise we will not be able to do it.

Last year the first party after Thanksgiving was Monday Nov 27. 2005 had one on Sunday Nov 27. 2004 had one on Sunday Nov 28. Also 2003 had one on Sun Nov 30.

Based on history, chances are pretty good that 2008 will have a Sunday party, but we wont know for sure till sometime in early/mid spring.
