I know its a little early but does anyone now what the crowds will be like Nov 1 - 10 th. Any big events or groups those weeks?
Thanks Krista:)

I'm sure "Jersey Week" is in there! It's usually the 1st full week in November where many kids have days off from school. Here in New Jersey, the kids have two days off for a teacher's convention that no teacher ever goes to. In other states, many kids have Election Day off, and Veteran's Day off, and some just have a fall break. So it will be much busier that week versus the surrounding weeks! But we went that time last month, and we still had a great time! And the weather is usually very, very nice in early November! :)

The Food&Wine Festival will most likely still be going on then. Also, the Festival of the Masters occurs around that time.

Our school district here near St. Louis MO, always has off the first and second week, Thurs and Friday of the month of November. I bet a lot of other schools have some days off during this time too. We took advantage of this one year. I don't remember the crowds being too bad at all.

We were there at that time this year. The second weekend was Jersey Week, Festival of the Masters, Food and Wine, AND the Soap Opera deal. All I can say is that I was glad I wasn't there that whole week. After the weekend, things died, but the week you mention will still be rather busy

We were there this year Nov 4-12 2006. Crowds were low from the 4-8th, then wednesday night I think was the kick off to "Jersey Week", lots of accents (we are from Seattle) at the pool. The crowds did increase but still never waited over 20-30 minutes when fast passes were unavailable.

We were there that week this year. Friday was really the only crowded day. Probably lots of locals out for Veterans day. Just go and have fun!:thumbsup2

We were there this year from Wed. night Nov. 8th - Sat. Nov. 11th. I only learned about Jersey Week after we booked (our cruise too) and after crying as I read the boards about how the whole state would be standing in line with us, I decided to just let it go and enjoy. We had THE BEST weather we could ever ask for! Wed. night AK was open late for EMH and we walked on Everest. Thursday was great but Friday and Saturday were a bit more crowded then we had hoped. The Cruise was perfect Nov.12-16th, and the price was great. All in all I would say it was really no big deal - I worried for nothing. Just go and have a great time and be glad you are not there in the summer heat!:scared1:

Alright, Jersey Week is real but it is not a big deal. Many school district have extra time off around election day and or Vets Day. This is especially true when election day and Vet's day fall during the same week. For the past two years our school district (in Maine) only had two days of school for the entire week.

Jersey Week is the busiest week of a very quiet time at the World. We've been twice during that week (2003 & 2005). We had no major problems.

In 2007 election day and Vet's Day are in two different weeks. That should cut down on the impact.

Hey Krista,

I am going during Jersey Week because I am, well, from NJ and my kids have off. I can't deal with crowds either but I think that week will be fine.

I do recommend TourGuide Mike (click on link above). I just used him for my last trip and will use him again for Jersey week. It's like $20 to join and he gives so much good info, but his "red-yellow-green" days info is worth the purchase price alone. He will tell you what days to go to what park--green days are "go", yellow days are "go with caution" and red days are "don't go unless you absolutely have to". I followed his advice and went to the each park when it was a green for all the days of my trip except for one. (It was a yellow and I had to go because we wanted to see Spectro). He was right on- the parks were empty, except that yellow day at MK.

I'll see ya then!
