We're going for a quick trip next weekend.

I've checked crowds ratings and I see that they're a seven.

Is the difference notable between the level eight crowds we normally experience in July?

The temperatures have to make the crowds seems smaller, right?

The scale 1-10 is a bit compressed -- I think that's a good thing. A broader scale (say, 1-100) would be too arbitrary. However, it does mean that there isn't a good way of differentiating between, say, a high 7 and a low 8. Y'gotta draw the line somewhere, eh? Having said that, what I've noted is that there is often a significant difference between a 4 and a 5 and between a 5 and a 6, so I suspect that there are significant differences all the way up the scale.

We have found March to be a very pleasant time to go. The weather is warm but not yet hot, and every school has a different spring break week, which can mean that it probably won't be too crowded (I hope I'm not jinxing our trip, as we are going to be there for a week, beginning 3/25).
Have fun!

We are going 3/25, too, and hoping for manageable crowds. I'm an early riser so not worried for myself but three teen boys will be with us and getting them up early will be a challenge!

I have also been in July and the parks were gridlocked...plus it was extremely hot and humid even at night. So even if March crowds are comparable to summer crowds, I'd always choose March if going to the parks is the reason for the visit.

We are expecting large crowds. Many schools are on spring break, including ours. I figure if we expect crowds and there are none, we will be quite happy. However, if we go expecting fewer guests and it's crowded, we will be disappointed.

Thank you for the input. I guess we'll just anticipate big crowds, and hope for the best!

Its scheduled to be in the 70s, which is warmer than here, but still cool. I don't think we'll know what to do with our only comparison trips being in July.

We'll be there on Wednesday, hoping for little crowds but expecting them non the less. :teeth: We found that weekends were more crowded in March than weekdays. We were at WDW in Sept 2005 and couldn't believe the low crowds that were there. Of course temp wise, in Sept the ovens came on and it was HOT! Last March, we had some cool temps with jackets needed both day and night. Right now it's 20F in our hometown in VT so anything +70F is beautiful! :sunny:
