Crowds leading up to Thanksgiving

Just wondering how the crowds are the week before and leading up to Thanksgiving.

according to the unofficial guide, the crowds are fairly small up until the tues or wed of thanksgiving week. those two days the crowds are growing and then of course thanksgiving through sunday are very crowded. I have not experienced this personally, just based on what I read.

Thanks for the info. Our last few trips have been through the summer months so I am looking forward to some lighter crowds.

We were there the week before Thanksgiveing November 2003(we left the Saturday before Thanksgiving) and the crowds were quite low. We only waited for one or two things the whole week and then only 5-10 minutes. If you use the morning EMH then lots of things were a walk-on. We did notice a huge difference in the crowds from Friday to Saturday. If our son wasn't in school now we would go again that week. Also the weather was great-able to wear short during day but not too hot.

We went to full week before Thanksgiving week. I was so quiet we actually walked on to quite a few rides. They were hanging the Christmas decorations, so it was fun to see that, even if they weren't lit up.

I guess everyones idea of crowds is different since we try really hard to visit off season....the week before Thanksgiving week is always quiet in our experience....we have been that week several times and always found it very empty. However the Friday evening before Thanksgiving the resorts really begin to fill up, by Sat the crowds have probably doubled at the parks and by Sunday it is very busy.

Once we stayed through the Monday before Thanksgiving and agreed that crods had easily tripled from the prior week (I would say Monday crowds are about like a mid June day....not impossible, but very heavy)
