Crowds, late April, early May?

How crowded can I expect Disney to be during this time? I thought if we arrived midweek during the last week of April, the Easter/spring break crowds will be gone? Any thoughts?
Also what is the weather like? We usually go Dec. or Jan. when it's cool, hope it's not too hot and humid..?

We went in early May and it was great; low crowds and wonderful weather. There will ALWAYS be a lot of people at Disney World, but we had very small wait times when we were there. And for the more popular rides, we used Fast Pass and it worked out great.

We went the week before Memorial Day in 2002. It was pretty low crowds until that Saturday...the Saturday before Memorial Day...and then people started pouring in. It got pretty busy. But it could have just been for the weekend and lessened later in the week. We left on Sunday.

We were there last year late April-1st week of May. It was unusually hot and the crowds were moderate. We had some waits for rides, but overall it was not unbearable crowd wise - I did find the heat unbearable, though. All of our pictures are so funny because we have these bright red faces and sweat is dripping off our hair. It was in the nineties. Supposedly that was unusual and the CM's were even complaining about it. But its not unusual to be in the high eighties during that period of the year. I find that unless you go during the weeks between Thanksgiving and Christmas week or the week after New Year's you are going ot experience some level of crowds. Late April to early May is bearable but you will not walk on to rides unless you are using EE or Fastpass.
