crowds last week of august

We are thinking of going the last week of August. Are California schools back in session? I know the aps are not blocked that week. Our kids' birthdays are Aug 26 and 29 so we would like to be there on or around those dates. Will the weekdays with aps unblocked or the weekend of aug 24-25 be less crowded?

We are looking at about 4 days at Disneyland anytime from about Aug 24-31. We will probably spend a few more days before or after in San Diego.

It will probably be better to go during the weekdays. There may be some residual crowds from the unblocked APs, but a lot of kids start school that week. Also good chunk of the LA schools start school the week before.

The give and take may be with San Diego. The Zoo, Safari Park, Beach, Legoland all will be more crowded on the weekend and less on the weekdays. Thier crowd patterns are like DLR's.

I have been to the land in August before, the last week at that and it was quite busy as the day progressed, especially by early evening it looked as though the flood gates had opened. I had arrived at opening, had fast passes and always know where I am going, so I was good to go. You will be fine, and have a lot of fun. Have a great time!
