These dates kind of worry me.
The 10th is a grad night.
The 11th is a grad night.
The 12th Fantasmic/the new fireworks/the electrical light parade officially open.

How much do you think it'll effect things?

We were there those dates 2 years ago.. grad nights didn't effect the daytime crowds at all, the park will close a little bit early I believe but the grad students all enter after hours and leave before dawn the next day.

As far as the grand "reopenings" I don't know, sorry!

i'll be there the 7th-12 and lets put some positive energy out that the crowds will be the best!

I agree that it will be very busy. But how exciting that you get to see the new shows/fireworks! Get to the parks early and utilize FP all you can.

Have a wonderful trip.:)

we'll be there june 11-15. I was very worried about the dates but due to our summer schedule and not ready to allow my kids to miss school we had to go with these dates if we were going to go. I've done lots of reading...Our plan is to eat breakfast at our hotel as soon as our kids will allow (trying for 7-730AM) that way we can get to the parks asap. Then we will us the FP as we can. We will stay at the parks then do a mid brunch/lunch (Have character meals planned). Then if the kids are not too crabby we are going back to the parks till they close. We will probably end up back at the hotel for an hour or so ....knowing my kids. Not sure if this will help but we're going to try to plan using our books and websites. This way we can get the most out of the trip. Have you checked out Ride Max? I've never used it but have read lots of reviews that it helped people get the most out of their trips. I didn't think it was a bad price.

We've been in March, May, and June. June is busier than the other 2 months but still very manageable and we did every single thing we wanted to do our 3 days there. If you get there at opening and knock out the busiest rides you will be fine the rest of the time.

Don't be too worried about it! The more the merrier right?!

Shouldn't effect crowds during the day at all. However the closing early thing, really stinks. Especially having it two days in a row.

Then if you've got a view room at Hojo's you could quite possibly hear the partying all night long (happened to us, although others say they didn't experience it).

I LOVE going in June, but from now were gonna avoid grand nights, since we like our late nights in the parks.

I remembered something else very important! If you have Magic Morning entry at all during your trip DOUBLE CHECK w/ the park what day they will be during that week. Grad nights are one of the few things that will change the days of MM. I don't remember what day they were changed to/from from 2 years ago but do remember there being a lot of confusion for the MM folks at least 1 of the days we were there.

My worry is that there will be college kids just staying there for a few days and going to the park during the day and then at night too. What have you experienced?

We were at HOJO last year from the 10th to the 17th. The parks are fine in the morning til late afternoon. We didn't hear any rowdy people at all.
Ended up doing other things those two days that grad nite interfered.

We were there 2 years ago during a Grad Nite and noticed no difference during the day. Honestly if the park hadn't closed early, we probably would not have known there was anything special going on. It was busy but no busier than it was in early August last year. We were staying at the Camelot across the street and did not hear any extra noise.

I think I read here that the kids are actually bussed in from their schools and bussed out promptly at 6 in the morning. I could be wrong on that one. :confused3

MM was changed to Wednesday 6/10 from Thursday 6/11.

Yeah we didn't hear it at the Tropicana either, but a view room at Hojo, YES! I mean we were able to hear the monorail, and other sounds from DL (which was nice) so I guess it wasn't too surprising to hear Grand night. We heard loud music, a guy on a microphone, and lots of screaming! Didn't get much sleep that night, needless to say. But we've never experienced that anywhere else.
