Crowds in September

How are the crowds in September (minus labor day weekend)? Is it like WDW where crowds are very manageable because all the kids are back in school? IDK if the west coast has a significantly different school schedule than us here in CT. Thanks.

Very nice. We always go around the 20th. It's between DD's and DH's birthdays. Be careful though. September is notorious for having key rides closed. If this is the only trip for awhile you may want to make sure you go when there won't be so many closures.

We went this past September (near the end) and found it busy. It was also extremely hot. It was just after the halloween stuff started, so that probably contributed some to the crowds. The year before we went for about 10 days at the beginning of September. That didn't seem as busy as the end this year (minus the weekends, and especially Labor Day of course).
