What are the crowds like in September? We are going the last week of September and have never been at that time before. We have gone in May and in January. What about the weather too?

In sept i cant imagine the parks being crowded :thumbsup2 since thats usually the time everyone is back in school and back to their jobs from vacation :guilty: As for the weather i live in florida and in sept it is still REALLY hot and keep in mind that sept in right in the middle of hurricane season! :sad2:

We went last year for the first time in September and going again this September. We went in the middle of Sept. and we walked on everything we never even took advantage of EMH. However, I believe the end is the Food and Wine festival so it may be a bit busier. It was very hot and humid also.

We went the week after labor day last year and are doing the same thing this year. Everything was walk on. We got pretty lucky last year and the weather wasn't even that bad. It was only humid the first two days. Then it was pretty dry and warm out the rest of our trip. I'm just praying the hurricanes stay away this September.

We were there last year and it was absolutely dead until the food and wine festival started on the 1st October. Even then it wasn't bad, probably quiet by most peoples standards but we'd been so spoilt by the previous two weeks crowds we didn't enjoy it as much.

we were there last September 16-23, 2005. It was like having the parks to ourselves.
We are going again this year same time.

We rode several rides several times in a row without getting off like Splash Mountain, Test Track, etc.

We went last Sept...the last week. I found it WAY too hot/humid to enjoy the parks all day. We were pouring sweat by 9am.
We also found it kind of crowded albeit not longer than 15 minutes to wait but that is certainly not walk on. But it is all what you are used to doing. We usually go early Dec or Jan and that is when we are going this year. Never again in Sept. mostly because of the weather.

This is all music to my ears! I am going Sept. 13-18 with my parents, who are both in their 60's, and I would hate to have them waiting in that hot sun all day. They both love the heat, but that is too much. I am praying that is the same scenario this year, even with the Free Dining package. :thumbsup2

I too am happy to read this, I'm hoping to go the end of September, 2007 (and yes, I am already planning :cool1: )

I am going from Sept 10-14. I cannot wait, and this thread gives me high hopes that it will be an...empty time.

Even with free dining.

:thumbsup2

We were there from the 12-24th last year and it was FABULOUS! I had my aunt and uncle with us, both handicapped, and both ECV users. It was nice going thorugh the lines with those ECV's...fun too, cause they got to go quickly though the queue back and forth, back and forth. (Contrary to popular belief, Handicapped users don't get front of the line privledges.) They had a blast zipping through those queues. The only thing that had a substantial wait was Soarin'. It had opened recently and did have quite a line. But with Fast pass, it was doable. We're going the week after labor day this year and UG has it listed as the slowest time of the year. HOT DOG!

You guys are delisional if you believe these posts for the last week of Sept '06 - you havent been paying attention to everyone that asks this question is specifically asking for THE SAME WEEK!!

and if only I could change my week, I would, but we're renting points - way before free dining, based on crowds last year I planned to go the week BEFORE because of the lower crowds,, well Disney was listening, Disney did free dining ending a week early, and all of us bargain hunters are taking advantage...

mark my words, there's no greater place to be, crowded or not - and this particular week in Sept will have HUGE crowds!!

This was the exact same for us, too! You'll have a great time.

If you go to touringplans(dot)com you can see relative expected attendance for any day this year. I believe this information is in the section you don't have to pay for. There are numbers assigned for each day - I believe the first part of Sept (after Labor Day Holiday) is expected to be quite low with an increase later in the month.
