Crowds in parks-princess marathon weekend

hi there! I'm sorry if this has been posted already but I was curious about the crowds in the parks during the princess marathon weekend. We are planning to take my daughter Friday the 18th to the parks but we are wondering if we should reconsider due to crowds? Thanks!

Last year Princess seemed to be extra crowded in the MK more due to it being northeast school vacation than it being a race weekend. I think I did MK on the Saturday and it was borderline unbearable, but EPCOT wasn't really bad at all. Perhaps we were just unlucky during our MK day

Even the full marathon weekend doesn't typically have a huge impact on park attendance, and the Princess event has a much smaller field. I wouldn't worry too much about it.

Just following along. I'm also worried about this. I didn't realize it was a holiday for half the northeast in addition to the princess half. I'll be in the parks Feb 16-20. Will it be bad earlier in the week?

Princess Half marathon weekends can be a bit crowded, more so due to the overlap with school vacations in New England than the runDisney events. Keep in mind the 12th-14th is Presidents Weekend, so crowds between that weekends, school vacations, and then the Princess Half, there are a lot of reasons for the crowd to go up at that time. I haven't found it to be unbearable. A few years ago got the MK about 5-6 PM on the Thursday, and recall about 30 mins for POTC, maybe 20 for HM.
