crowds in october

If anyone has any October advice on crowds I would like to know too, I think we are planning 2nd 3rd or 4th week of Oct. HELLLLLPPPPPPPP :thanks:

We were there last year October 11-15. It was after Columbus Day so it was not crazy crowded, but it was more crowded that our April trip. The Food and Wine festival and MNSSHP are going on at that time. Those will bring in the crowds, especially on weekends. The weather is wonderful.

I have to go to Florida in October so of course I am turning it in to a Disney Trip but I was concerned about Wine and Food Fest. when does that usually take place? My other concern is the weather with it still being Hurrican season. :sad2:

Do not go around Columbus Day. We made that mistake a couple of years ago. There were so many people at the MK that you could not move. A CM said that the crowds were as large as July 4th crowds. It was pretty much miserable. We went the first of October in 2005, hardly any crowds.

Thanks I am looking for the least crowded time to go, my DD has some disabilities and the least amount of people there the better our vacation is for her. :)

Halloween week is the least busy of the month. Definitely don't go the week of Columbus Day.

Hmmmm Thanks for the info,I would have thought that Halloween week would be crowded.

Awesome! :cool1: That is when we are going. I thought it may be crowded due to MNSSHP. What night should we do that? (Oct. 29th Sunday, - Halloween)
Thanks!!

hi we are going 30 wks today 210 days to be exact ! not that i am counting !!! what date is colombus day ?
calling from scotland

I'm going to be there over columbus day too - not by choice mind you - we've booked our holiday around my friend's wedding to make sure we don't miss it! We're going october 1st - 15th.

Any ideas what the queues are like at non-disney parks during columbus day and it's week?

thanks thats the day we arrive. cant wait this will be our third time sooo excited!!!!

We visited the last week of September 2003 and Oct 29-Nov4 in 2005. I found it to be significantly more crowded during last year's visit. Still much better than visiting in the Summer, though. Magic Kingdom was where we found most of the crowds. We even decided to go to MK one evening when it was pouring rain, thinking we could walk right on to attractions, but it was still very busy.

EPCOT was not bad either of the 2 days we visited, and the Food and Wine fest made it the highlight of my trip. I sampled food from many different stops along the way - delicious!
