Is May real crowded like March and April. Or would it be a great option for less crowds. We want to go back next year before DS starts school. Trying to figure out what time would be the best. Any suggestions?

Hi,

As with any question about crowds, you are likely to get the following two posts among your replies:

Post 1: We went at that time last year and the crowds were great! We walked onto everything!

Post 2: We went at that time last year and we will never do that again! The crowds were horrible!

But...the bottom line is...May crowds are quite manageable. Weekends are more crowded than weekdays. Early in the month crowds are very light, then they get a little heavier after Memorial Day as schools start to close for the summer.

We've made several trips in May. Generally, the crowds are there, but not unmanageable. Our trip this past May during Memorial week we actually experienced lower than normal crowd levels. I guess the price of gas has people staying home?:confused3
It does get quite hot during May, easily in the 90s at times--we usually beat the heat by resting at the resort during the middle of the day.

We have been 3 times during the first week of May and LOVE it!!! The weekends are a bit crowded, but otherwise, the longest wait we have ever had is about 30 minutes for the headline attractions. And with FP, it's a breeze.

We have been in May (the 2nd week) and it is our favorite time to go. Too bad as a teacher I really can't go in May now. But we found the weather to be nice and the crowds to be manageable in May.

We've been in mid-March (when Easter was in April) and found the crowds to be the lowest ever, but it was on the cold side. We have been in the first week in May and it was a little more crowded, but it was still minimal lines for rides. And the weather was PERFECT! Our last trip was the week after Memorial Day. While it was a lttle more crowded, it was still not bad. And the weather was still not too bad either.

DH and I have gone to WDW several times in May. Our honeymoon was mid May... it didn't seem that crowded at all. We've also chaperoned the senior class trip to WDW several times... they always go Memorial Day weekend. There are crowds (often times school trips) but they are manageable.

We've visited twice in May, including this year. The crowds were completely manageable. We did all of what we wanted to do at all four parks in two days. (15+ past trips plus a little help from the UG!) The Flower and Garden Festival at Epcot is a bonus!
