My BF and I are planning a trip to Disney for the first week of May. I just wanted to get an idea of what the crowds might be like. My last trip was in April 2004 and the lines were awful! We really missed out on a lot of attractions that we had not been able to ride before, so I've chosen a "moderate" season this time. I would appreciate everyone's opinion who has been there in May before. Thanks! :flower:

The crowds were pretty good last year the first week of May. It is just past spring breaks. 30 mins or less. We did fast passes on the big rides. But some of them had 10 min waits. Not to bad. BUT the biggest problem you will have is GRAD NIGHT. You need to ask some of the veterans around here but I think that is the first weekend in May. They close the parks early and bus all the local seniors in for a big party. We went last year we stayed off site thurs, fri sat. Just to relax. We didn't got to the parks till Sunday. We went over to WL for dinner on Sat evening. It was Grad night. When we left dinner we could not believe all the busses going into the MK bus after bus after bus. We waited forever at one of the traffic lights. The police were running traffic. I just thought you might want to research grad night. We went over to the BC and stayed for 5 days then went on the cruise. The crowds were very good. We had no problems at all. The weather was great too. Warm but the humidity was very low. We really liked May. Hope this helps

we were there in 2004 for may 2nd through (its in my sig, I actually don't remember right now lol). crowds were light to moderate, we did everything we wanted to pretty much when we wanted. The only thing holding us back was darn Downtown Disney. We would party into the night and then well guess what, couldn't get up early :)

We are going 2nd week in may this year starting on the Sunday after Grad night (may 7th) from the sounds of it, I guess that was a good idea. For our last trip, If grad night happened while we were there, it didn't make an imact on the crowds at all... which makes me think it was a different weekend.

Hey! We went in May 2000 and 2004. The crowds are usually light to moderate. We were able to ride everything we wanted and see all the shows. The weather, we think, is great! Not too hot, but just hot enough for shorts and a tank tops. We are planning our May 2006 trip!! We can't wait!

Staying at a deluxe for the first time!!! :cool1: :cool1:

Have fun!!!
