Crowds in late April/early May 2006?

I know that Easter is late this year, but was wondering if the week AFTER the week following Easter (week of April 24, Easter is April 16) will be more crowded than usual? We've gone at this time in the past and found fairly low crowds and nice weather--would love to do it again, but not if we'll be facing total mayhem! Thanks for sharing your collective wisdom with this newbie!

We live in NH and that is spring vacation week for NH students. We are also planning on going that week simply because we do not want to pull the kids from school. A friend of mine went last year the same week and did not think the crowd level was bad. The problem is, this was her first Disney trip so she did not have a reference.

Do you know how the temperature is that time of year?

I went to Disney the first time ever during the last week in April/beginning of May. The crowds were comfortable, you definately didn't wait in line for more than 1/2 hour, but my only complaint was the humidity! By the time we got to AK, we left at 11am because it was so humid!

we've been to wdw in late april/early may a few times. weather is warmer (around 70) during the day, but cool at night. (jeans & sweatshirt) we have never waited more than 20 minutes for any ride during that time. the kids are just going back to school, so it really is mostly "big kids" throughout the parks. (and the few of us who take the kids out for a week)

DH and I spent the last week and first week of May two years ago and WDW and found the crowds managable and the temperature that year was particularly warm. Days were in the high 80' and 90's quite warm but a joy after a cold winter here in the north. We are going again this year at the same time since we espically enjoyed the Flower and Garden show in EPCOT.
