Crowds in July

We are going to DW at the end of July, we know it will be very HOT and very crowded. My question is how crowded? Will we be walking shoulder to shoulder with others? I know most rides will have long waits and we do plan to use the fp. Anyone else going in July? Can't wait for the magic!

Iwent last year in July and too me it was just way to busy,,, people were bumping into me and lets juSt say I am not pleasent when people are pushing into me and it is hot,,,,,,just be prepared is all,, when went to the parks first thing when they opened , left when they got super busy around noonish and returned later on in the day for EMH or whatever . much more doable for me anyway

i have been to DW in july twice. I found going very early when the parks first open, then going back to resort for a swim and rest worked well for us. Have fun!

July is busy and hot. The only place I ever noticed shoulder to shoulder walking is in FantasyLand. Utilize fastpasses, go during EMH morning, plan to ride some popular rides during parades and fireworks (if you've seen them already that is ) And certainly take a break in the middle of the day. My family has always been the comando type but last year we did the mid day break (around 2) and it was fantastic. Take it easy and don't stress, that'll take the edge off of the heat and crowds. they are all there for the same reason as you!

Crowded Go to the parks early. Then relax later at the pools. Have a great vacation.

I went in July,for us very hot and busy.But you have to go when you can so, I say take a mid day break if you can. Have fun

We have been to WDW in July a couple of times. It is not our favorite time, but it is sometimes the only time we can go due to the kids school schedules. The crowds don't bother us, we get up early to beat the ones who can't. Have you checked out Tour Guide Mike's recommendations for the summer months? It may help to have his assistance. I'm trying his touring plans for the first time for my trip. We also go back to the hotel to nap or swim when the heat seems unbearable. Remember to drink lot's of water and try not to push yourself too hard. This year we leave June 10th right after the kids get out of school. Hope you have a great trip.

BTW, I am in Gastonia too.... Small world after all, isn't it?

I live in Gastonia off of Kendrick Road. My sons go to WA Bess Elementary. It's pretty amazing that on these boards you can reach out to people across the world or right next door!
