Crowds in December?

Hi.

We are planning on going to Universal Studios on Dec 20th and Islands of Adventure on Dec 24th.

Can anyone tell me about the crowds this time of year? I was looking into the Express Plus passes and they will be 20.00 for these dates.

There will be 5 of us, me, DH, DS (10), DS (11) and DD (2 1/2) and it will be our first time to the Universal Parks.

Hello! We are going UO in December too, but after Christmas day-December 27-30. Expect crowds at both places. You will definitely need the express passes-any chance you might could stay onsite for 1 night? You could use your room key for the day you check in as well as the day you check out. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I think if you buy the express passes you are only allowed to ride a ride once,not as many times as you want if you stay on-site. Go to Mousesavers.com and they go into more detail about staying the one night on-site. Hope this helps!!! We can't wait to go either!!!!

Packed. 20th might be a little better than the 24th, but that is a busy time of year with the Macys parade and Grinchmas.

Katybugsmom is right, Express Pass is good only once per ride.

I'm curious about this too. We will be there Dec. 13-15. Is it horribly crowded there then or do the crowds tend to build up more the following week?
