Crowds in August?

Hi! We are planning a WDW trip at the end of Aug. 2007 with a 2 day side trip to US and IOA. We are staying on Disney property and renting a car. How are the crowds that time of year......I know they are really low at Disney, so is it the same at US/IOA? If we wanted to go at a leisurely pace, would 2 days be good? With 2 kids I don't see the point of rushing to do both parks in one day, so is 2 days good crowd-wise?

Well we went in JUNE and US was seriously dead til about 2 in the afternoon. IOA was busy all day though. I think end of August would be low-average crowd levels, busier at weekends because of locals.

The end of August and the month of September is one of the best times to visit. The park is a ghost town during this time, the crowds don't show up until the afternoon. Kids are back in school. The only tradeoff, is the parks close early, at 6-7pm. But the morning will have very short lines. You can easily take a lap around IOA, eat lunch, then walk over to USF and do a few rides.

I thought I had read on another one of these boards that some of the Florida kids will be starting school later in 2007 (after Labor Day). If I recall, the towns are trying to save some money on air conditioning expenses. If that is so, the crowds could be a little higher.

Can any Floridians confirm this??
