Crowds in August-one week make a difference?

We had already decided to book August 15th-21 (6 nights). I called my TA to book and she said now that the buy 4/get 3 has been extended, we could do 7 nights Aug 7-14th for even cheaper! One of the main reasons we were pushing into late August was that we thought crowds might be better with kids going back to school. The other reason was budget, which is now moot. Would we really notice much difference in crowd level?

I beleive if you check in on the 15th you can get the 4/3 deal... Call you TA

To complicate things, some people have PIN codes for free dining starting on the 16th, and I've heard that they may open the free dining to everyone...so that may balance out the crowds from earlier in August.

Hmmmm....overall, for you Disney experts, do you think it will make that much difference if we go 7-14 or 15-21 (regarding the crowd levels). This is our first trip, so I am clueless!

When I called Disney to add the the code (trip was from 8/10-17) I was told by 2 CM that the stay had to end on the 15th. But I would say go ahead and ask. We changed our trip to 8/7-14 to take advantage of the 4/3. I am hoping crowds won't be too unbearable.
