Crowds in April

So I am trying to talk my father into going on a father daughter trip in April and it's a new month for me I have never been to the world at this time. We are looking to go April 17-24 just how bad are the crowds? What is the weather like. I haven't been to the world since last Dec and I am itching to go so any info would help Thanks Amanda

The weather in April is wonderful. We have been many times, since that is when our kids have their spring break, possibly the same in CT, the 3rd week in April. However it will be crowded, very crowded. Especially this year. Since many New England states always have the 3rd week of April off for spring break, they will all be there. Plus this year it is also Easter week which will add lots of other people.
We will be there from the 14-23 and pan on having a great time. You just need to have a plan, accept the fact that there will be crowds, and just leave if the parks get too crowded for you.

We love Fla in April...the weather is perfect. The past few years it has been warm with low humidity.

As far as crowds, the recesses this year will make it more crowded. We always watch the dates and go AFTER the spring/easter breaks. We are planning to go April 24th or so...when all the kids are back in school.

Since Easter is the 16th, that week will be one of THE most crowded times of the year. I'm sure the weather will be wonderful; but in my opinion not enough to make up for battling the crowds.

I agree, it will be very crowded that week because Easter is on the 16th. Many schools have off the week prior but many also have off the week after. Good luck. If you can hold off a week, it will be much better.

Weather can be fickle this time of year. It can be gorgeous, but it can also be rainy. (April Showers bring May Flowers)

We have experienced many variations of weather this time of year, from cold fronts to heatwaves to sun to rain. Most don't linger although one year we had 5 straight days of 90 degree plus weather without a drop of rain the last few days of April. Felt more like Arizona than Florida!

But, this is our favorite time to go (late April, early May) during this time of year. We're heading up the last few days of April this year. Then we won't go again until late August, (yes it's hot and even rainy then, but the crowds are very low-so we don't mind).
