Crowds for second MSEP?

Hi everyone- I'm new to this forum so I apologize if I'm not posting this question to the right place! My family is planning a trip to Disney next May, and we are beginning to plan our first day in MK. We're hoping to to get a much-coveted Tomorrowland Terrace Dessert Party reservation for the fireworks, but have heard that there is not a great view of MSEP from the terrace. If the fireworks are at 10 that night and the parade is at 11, should we head immediately to main street after the dessert party to stake out a spot for the parade, or will we be able to go on another ride or two before meandering over? I'm trying to get a sense of whether we can just walk up and see the late parade reasonably well right before it begins or whether we will still need to find a spot 30-40 minutes beforehand.
Thanks so much for your advice! :)

Welcome to the forums.

Generally speaking, the second parade is far quieter than the first, so you should have no problem finding a spot to watch. Depending on how crowded it is after the Wishes crowd clears out from the park around 10:30pm you will be able to see how many people are staying for the 11pm parade. You may be able to sneak in a quick ride.

I believe that it is usual for the second parade to run from Frontierland back towards Main Street and it is usually much less crowded to find a spot along the parade route in Frontierland/Liberty Square instead of on Main Street.

Hope this helps!
