Unfortunately (or I guess fortunately if I had kids), my birthday is very close to Mother's Day. Every 4 years it is on the actual day.

Anyways, we are going to be at DLR on Mother's Day weekend for my birthday, which is the day after. Friday will be DL, Saturday will be DCA, Monday (b-day) will be DL again.

Any suggestions for Sunday (Mother's Day)? How are the crowds at the parks that day? Should we just hang out at the hotel pool? Should we try a tour of Hollywood?

Thanks for your opinions! :thumbsup2

It has been several years since I was there on Mother's Day, but the park was pretty busy that day - though I've seen it worse. As I recall when you entered the park they gave flowers or something to all of the mothers - it was kind of nice.

I'm not sure what kind of tickets you will have - you could always go to the park first thing in the morning for a couple of hours (when it's not busy) and then leave when the crowds got bad, and then go back in the evening.

Right now we have 3-day park hoppers, but if we go to the parks on Sunday, we'll have to get an extra day.

I think that's what we'll do.

Thanks! :thumbsup2

Amber,

I have gone Mothers Day weekend many many times and yes it is crowded but I do have a great suggestion for you....irregardless if you have kids or not...Every Mothers Day, Easter, Thanksgiving etc..in the DLH ball room they host a brunch...fabulously decorated, wonderful food and Im sure they are taking reservations already...you should definitely do that...I wouldnt worry about not doing the parks that day...and truthfully I wouldnt plan on doing one day at DL, one day at DCA etc...break you time up...go to the ee and stay till it gets crowded...break for lunch and hang out at the pool or take a nap...go over to DCA for a bit...then back to DL...I would do that all three days that way...DCA is less crowded than DL especially in the am..definitely work the fast passes...that might be a better way to go about it:goodvibes

Who do I call about the DLH brunch? Would they be taking ressies even before the 60-day mark?
