I've got a friend going the first week in November, and she's afraid that the crowds are going to be really bad. I've tried looking on this board to be able to pass something on to her, but I can't find anything. Is it expected to be really busy this year?

I am also going that week and I had the same fear when I first found out about Jersey Week so I asked the same question and basically I got a lot of responses with people telling me not to worry about it. I have heard it will get more crowded towards the end of the week but some people didn't even notice it was Jersey Week previous years. Also there will be people specifically avoiding that week so hopefully it will even out.

I can't speak from experience yet, but I would tell her not to worry about it. There is nothing either of us can do about it now and I am sure even if the Jersey people make a big impact, it will still be MUCH better then going during the busy times.

Sometimes all the info on these boards can make me more stressed and anxious. Tell her to relax because it will be awesome no matter what. :cool1:

Hello! We were there last year durimg Jersey Week and found the crowds managable at all the parks except Epcot and that was more because of the F & W festival. All the food booths eat up alot of space on the walkways especially when there are people waiting in line. Not enough room to navigate a stroller. My family have sworn off Epcot during the festival as a result. I would assume MK would be crowded on Saturday as it always seems to be during off season because of the parade schedule. MGM was great as lines were short especially if you rode the attractions during Fanatasmic! TL was almost empty. We were able to do the shark pool 3 or 4 times in row. Go and have a great time. If you go to Epcot you'll need som extra patience through WS.

Not sure what would qualify as the first week of Nov for your friend...but if she is going Nov 1 - 5 or 6 she will miss the Jersey week folk....if she is going the week of say 11/7 through 11/13 or so...beware. Although still not anything like as crowded as peak holiday weeks it will be decidely heavier crowds (like double maybe) than the week before. Also figure that Tuesday 11/8 is election day and most schools are out and add in Veterns Day that weekend, along with Super Soap Weekend, and Food and Wine crowds and the weekend of 11/11 - 11/13 will probably be a zoo....IMHO

Honestly, it was not that crowded when we went last year. Believe me, it could have been way more people there! The only place that was extremely over crowded in my opinion was MGM during the soaps weekend.

We found out after booking our trip that it was Jersey Week (we'll be there Nov. 4th-13th) and immediately started freaking out (as is my nature :) ) about the anticipated crowd levels being higher. I've decided to stop obsessing over it, though. The way I see it is:

A. It's not going to be anywhere near as crowded as summer or holidays.

B. Instead of sitting in front of my computer, at work (bleh!), on the disboards, just dreaming of being at WDW....I'll actually be there!!!!!

C. Big crowds? I know how to handle big crowds! I've got super-sharp elbows and a double-stroller just made for ramming into ankles!

(Just kidding about that last one!) :goodvibes
