Is it best to tour WS during Holidays Around the World early around 11am or later in the evening. I’ll be going during the busiest time over Thanksgiving weekend. I’ve experienced only one time at Epcot that was unbearably busy for me and that was during F&W...I’d like to avoid shoulder to shoulder crowds if that’s even possible.

Holidays Around the World is comprised of around a dozen different story tellers and performers- maybe more than a dozen- never counted. Depending on how many you decide to do, it will easily take you to within a couple hours of park closing if you start with the first one offered just because of the way they overlap. If you want to see entire performances plan on several hours so you can coordinate start and stop times with walking time in between and a short wait before a given performance starts. So...to answer your question- yes- start early if you want to fully experience what is offered. We did it last time- and plan to do it this year as well- over two days, as it gives a bit of space around things and allows for some spontaneity. Crowds will factor in as well- not so much with the ability to get to things, but rather finding a good vantage/listening point to experience the stories and performances.

I have been at WDW over Thanksgiving and found Sunday to be the least crowded day, followed by Friday. Saturday was the busiest, kind of like people got tired of shopping and were looking for something else to do.

If you can go early Saturday and most of the day Sunday, then that would be the best plan of attack. Sunday is much less crowded across the world.

The storytellers were highlights of our trips during this time of the year. We made sure to see all of them, and some multiple times. Just make sure to see some of these. Our least favorite were Morocco and China - probably because they are non-Christian and we don't know their story as well. Most favorite will vary.

The storytellers are great. The entertaining ones to make sure to catch are Norway (julenissen), Italy (La Befana), UK (Father Christmas), Germany, and France (Pere Noel). Mexico is different as it is the mariachis singing typical Christmas songs in Mexico. My wife said it reminded her of what they did close to the border. My personal favorite is Norway. The times are typically staggered so you can see about half in a row walking around the WS.
