crowds for Aug.18-21 and closing times?

Newbe... Would like to know how the crowds will be 8/18-8/21/04. I read the closing to was 8:00pm and opens 9:00am we are staying off property but close. Would love your help&tips welcome as we have never been there. Going with 3 boys 13, 7 and very tall 4 year old that will ride everything he can.

mother fletcher thanks for your replay. Forgot to ask about rain showers 8/18-8/28 whats it like how long to they last? What time do they tend to hit? I know it does very somewhat. Also what time does park open and close IOA/US I have conflicting info about that during this time frame. Most post were different from sights I looked up at IOA/US. This sight is the BEST!

It looks like both parks will be open from 9am-8pm all the days you will be here.

As for crowds...since it's at the end of the week, you won't be getting a lot of a locals crowd. Schools in the area either have already started or go back next week so they will be in school. You will get the end of the year tourist crowd, but I really don't expect it too be that terrible. You might want to look into getting Express passes though. I just think they are a GREAT idea so you can get in as much as possible.

As for the rain...it will. There is no denying it. We get rainstorms almost every afternoon but they don't normally start until about 3pm or so. My suggestion would be to go early, get in as much as possible, then do some of the indoor rides and shopping in CityWalk during the storms...hopefully you will get lucky and have nothing but sun, but don't count on it!

8/18-8/21 is about the best time to go to C.Fl. IMHO

Weather is not so hot & humid.
Fl Kids in school.

best part is that parks are very quiet.

This is reflected as parks are open til 8PM up to 08/21 and then close at 7PM and then 6PM last week in August (7PM IOA begins 08/22 and 6PM IOA begins 08/30 - 7PM USF begins 08/22).

Rain - last two weeks in Aug not as severe as June and July. Like eyecndi said. Around 3PM you will see clouds build up. Time to go indoors for a bit. If you time it right you won't even get wet as T-storms are USUALLY short in duration but not always.

I will be there 08/12 til 08/19.
