Crowds end of July and begining of August

How are the crowds this time of year. When does value season start? Or can someone direct me to a site that has value season dates? Dh is going away for 9 months to teach at the BP academy in March and I want to take my parents and kids to disney while he's gone.

Crowds are high late July and early August , although from mid August onwards a lot of the schools return and the parks are much quieter.
