We are planning to be in Disney during Labor Day (Thur - Tue). Does anyone have any experience with how crowded the parks are at this time of year? What day would be best for MK? Also, is the weather generally warm enough to swim? We're debating whether to include a water park. Thanks for any info.

Hi Cody;s mom,

Crowds around Labor Day are light, but Labor Day weekend itself is pretty heavy.

No worries about it being warm enough to swim....it will be VERY HOT and VERY HUMID with thunderstorms almost every afternoon lasting 15 minutes to 2 hours. Daytime highs will be 90 or above, and lows in the morning will be well into the 70s.

Have fun,

Bob

We were there last year over Labor Day weekend and the crowds were light but there was a hurricane so the light crowds were to be expected. Our vacation got extended several days because of having to reschedule our return flight so we didn't actually miss out on anything while spending time at the hotel during the hurricane (over Labor Day weekend) since we were at the end of our two-week vacation. We went to Blizzard Beach the first day it was reopened after the hurricane and the weather was plenty warm enough. Also, Magic Kingdom was pretty much empty the Friday before Labor Day and we didn't wait in line for anything! We had a blast! So . . . the hurricane was great in our situation but it would have been awful if we hadn't already experienced everything we had planned on.
