Crowds during Dec. 10th weekend?

I am a FL resident and I have received free passes that MUST be used before Dec. 31st of this year--- I was thinking of going the weekend of December 10th-- this is before most schools are out for Christmas break-- do you have any thoughts on how crowds are this week at Magic Kingdom?? If this is NOT a good weekend for low crowds-- when would you suggest I take a weekend trip between now and the end of the year? Any suggestions or thoughts are very appreciated--- THANKS!

Actually, we'll be there for Dec 8 - 12, and of course, we're hoping the crowds are still low!!!

For three years, we went the first weekend in Dec - and it was definitely NOT CROWDED at all!!! Almost all of the rides were a walk on! We loved it!! (DH couldn't get off the first week, that's why we're going the second week this year!)

These 2 weeks are a great time to visit WDW. Crowds have always been manageable. As a matter of fact we have also gone during the 3rd week. I think it was the 10th - the 16 and the crowds were low them.

So typically until the weekend kids get off (around the 18th) the crowds are good.

This is my first December, so I'm no expert by any means!

The thing to avoid, from what I've read, is the filming of the Christmas Parade. We will be there both Saturdays 12/4 and 12/11, and will avoid the MK like the plague whichever Saturday is filming.
