Crowds Christmas week? Will eating early help?

We are going to be at WDW during Christmas week--not my ideal time but the only time the school schedule would allow. My plan is to be up and at the parks early, with ADRs for an early lunch (11-ish) or an early dinner (5-ish). I know the parks will be packed but one reason we are doing the DDP is to let us have nice, hopefully relaxing meals. Is this just wishful thinking? Will the restaurants be crazy crowded too?

Thanks!

We went to WDW this past December 26th through January 1st because I am a teacher and had to follow a school schedule as well.

Dining around those times will help. Make sure you make your ADR's and arrive a few minutes early and you should not have a problem at all.

Are you staying on property? During peak seasons like Christmas, your best bet is to take advantage of nighttime EMH because the parks are open extremely late. MK, for example, is open until 3 AM. We got all of it done in three hours. You cannot go wrong with late EMH during the busy seasons as there are NO lines whatsoever. We have also used this strategy during Easter week and in the peak of the summer vacation. Enjoy! :)
