Crowds at Xmas

Hi I am new to the boards and my family and I are going at christmas time and we were wondering if the crowds at xmas time is as bad as people make them seem to be. Also if the EMH will be any slower then normal hours. Espically the evening EMH. Any info anyone has would be a big help

We're going from 12/20 to 12/27 this year -- went right around the same window of time last year. The parks were empty prior to Christmas Eve. Attendance at MK picked up on Christmas Eve, but was still very do-able. Christmas morning found MK empty until around 11 am. I heard the afternoon and early evening was PACKED, but we went to Epcot instead. Epcot was busy but, again, do-able. After a late Christmas dinner at WL, dh I returned to MK for EMH to find a virtually EMPTY park. We knew MK would be very busy the week after Christmas, so we contented ourselves with MGM and AK on the 2 days we remained after the holiday.

We were at WDW from december 25 2005 to december 31,2005. I will tell you the crowds are unbearable at times. If you go early in the day and go back to the resort, it might be ok. You have to have alot of patience, there are very rude people who are no longer in the xmas spirit. It was nice to be in Florida at that time of year. Have a good time, Say hi to Mickey

Please know that you are attending WDW at the absolute busiest time possible, and that is no exaggeration by any means. I seriously doubt that EMH will be any less crowded, as the resorts are going to be *packed* during that time.'

BTW, I'm assuming that when you say you are going during 'xmas time', you actually mean during the Christmas holiday itself. If you're there a little before then, it's not quite as bad.
