We are coming to Orlando for 6 days...we were going to do all 6 days at Disney, but are thinking of doing 2 at Universal. My kids love Harry Potter (9-7-4 are their ages). Will the crowds be awful? I don't want to go if it is still wall to wall people. We will be going in mid-March for spring break.

Hopefully the people won't be awful;) but it will be quite crowded. My DS experienced the 2nd week of March this year. Even though he avoided the weekends, as a veteran visitor of the parks, couldn't believe the throngs at both U & WDW (all the TSM FP were gone mid-week before 10:30 am).

Note: my DS grabbed a cab from WDW & purchased the express pass. This year he's doing a split trip, staying onsite one night @ the loews properties at the end of this trip to get the FOTL perc (non HP) for 2 days.

Good luck planning your trip.

Spring Break is one of the busiest times of the year so be prepared for long lines for just about everything. WWoHP will be a madhouse so you'll need to make sure you arrive an hour prior to park opening. You can do it...just pack your patience with you.

Yes it will still be crazy.Spring Break time is crazy in Orlando, including Disney BTW.Universal will be just as busy and WWoHP is still the number one draw so expect very large crowds.

Just a thought... noting the ages of your kids, watch the height requirements! We decided to put off Universal for a few years as my DS (7) wasn't tall enough to ride either the Forbidden Journey (48") or Dragon Challenge (54").
